Washington Federation of Republican Women State President - Ellie Ownbey
Politics has always been important to me. Raised as a conservative, it was only natural that I would gravitate to the Republican Party. I feel it is my Christian duty to be involved in the resistance to the progressive agenda. In my desire to “do something” I discovered the Federation of Republican Women.
Living in Leavenworth at the time, I joined Chelan-Douglas Republican Women. There I got very involved. I became the club secretary, then treasurer, then 2nd Vice President and finally President. The natural progression was to become a part of the WA Federation of Republican Women's leadership.
For the last four years I served as 3rd Vice President and then had the privilege and honor of the election as the 2025 - 2026 President. I love the wonderfully happy, active and giving ladies that make up the state organization. As much as I love CDRW for all that I learned and experienced all these years, I found it necessary to join the WA State Virtual Club due to so many new responsibilities.
